The SV705C astronomical camera from the brand Observation Discovery & Exploration boasts impressive features. With an IMX585 chip, 1/1.2" frame, and a resolution of 3856 × 2180, it delivers an image area of 11.2mm × 6.3mm and a 12.85mm diagonal.

The camera's near-infrared sensitivity has been significantly improved, and it exhibits a very high signal-to-noise ratio, enhancing the user experience. Operating within a temperature range of 14°F~122°F and storage temperature of -4°F~140°F, this versatile camera is suitable for a variety of environments.

The SV705C offers a USB 3.0 data transmission interface, ensuring stable data transfer, making it ideal for fast and efficient planetary and lunar imaging. Additionally, the ST4 guide port allows connection to the Auto Guider interface of the equatorial mount, enabling the use of PHD2 guide software to control automatic guiding.

The camera's advanced features include ROI (Region of Interest) and Bin functions, providing users with greater control and flexibility. It is particularly well-suited for EAA (Electronically Assisted Astronomy) and lucky imaging, as well as entry-level deep sky shooting, catering to the needs of EAA enthusiasts.

Compared to the IMX485 sensor, the IMX585 in the SV705C boasts a threefold increase in full well charges and a very high signal-to-noise ratio, improving shooting efficiency and capturing outstanding celestial images.

With a 1/1.2" frame, the SV705C delivers a maximum resolution of 3856×2180 and an image area of 11.2mm×6.3mm, providing rich details of celestial bodies. The camera's near-infrared sensitivity is 1.7 times that of the previous generation, significantly enhancing near-infrared shooting efficiency and capturing more details of celestial objects under the same exposure time.

The SV705C's dual-gain HDR feature retains a very high dynamic range at high gain, about 8 times that of the previous generation, substantially reducing read noise. Utilizing a back-illuminated sensor and advanced pixel technology, the camera's full well charge can reach 38ke, with a peak QE of approximately 90%, delivering exceptional image quality.

The camera's front-end features a CS port, and it is equipped with a C-CS adapter ring, allowing the use of C-mount and CS-mount lenses for time-lapse video capture. With a fisheye wide-angle lens, it can also be employed for all-day surveillance purposes.
