APO Triplet Refractor for Astronomical Observation

The SV550 APO Triplet refractor, featuring an 80mm aperture and a fast f/6 focal ratio, is an excellent travel telescope for both observation and astrophotography. Its hollow-out standard dovetail plate allows for the adjustment of the distance between the two hoops according to the rear-end load, ensuring the balance of the entire system.

To eliminate any stray light interference within the lens barrel, the SV550 employs an extreme extinction process, utilizing four extinction light bars inside the lens barrel. This feature effectively mitigates any unwanted light intrusion.

Boasting a 10KG payload capacity, the SV550 can easily accommodate the MK105 telescope, providing ample support for your observational needs. The adjustable all-round viewing angle, facilitated by the helical turbine drive, enables 360° rotation and -60° to +60° altitude adjustment, allowing you to observe from any desired perspective.

For fine-tuning control, the SV550 features a dedicated lever, enabling efficient adjustments in different scenarios. The triplet apochromatic optics structure, comprising one piece of S-FPL51 low-dispersion ED glass and two pieces of correction glass, significantly improves the image quality by reducing edge dispersion and minimizing blue fringing problems.

The SV225 alt-az mount, which can be paired with the SV550 OTA, offers a maximum additional load capacity of 10kg, a V-style mounting saddle, and a UNC 3/8 -16 female thread underneath the base. It provides a rotation angle of -60° to +60° in the altitude axis and a full 360° in the azimuth axis, allowing for precise tracking and adjustment.

The SV225 mount also features a fine-tuning control lever, enabling you to efficiently adjust the telescope to suit your observational needs in different scenarios. The variable speed gear on both axes allows for smooth tracking of the moon and planets.

The triple-element apochromatic optics design of the SV550 virtually eliminates chromatic aberration, resulting in bright, high-contrast images that are ideal for exploring celestial objects, such as galaxies, with exceptional clarity.
